starspangledhero: (Allons-y!)
[ America's still sick. You see, Discedo, America has this bad habit of making all of his illnesses worse by being stupidly heroic. Last winter, it was making sure all Americans were safe and had food. This time, it was "saving" England from kidnapping. At least now he's not on death's door, but he's still not looking very good: pale, dark bags under his eyes, sweaty, red nose, flushed cheeks, the works. And yet he still manages to smile. ]

So it wasn't my Knowlton, but I'm over it. More on that later. What's important right now is that I have way too much to do and my body really took it hard from rescuing England. I'm trading with Denmark to put me on the road to recovery; it's working a little, I think, I'm definitely feeling better, but I need some extra help!

Therefore, AMERICANS: go trade with Denmark! I dunno if it'll work with any of the other countries since they've still got chips, so focus all your energy on Denmark. I'm giving him some of those mad cattle I caught in exchange for "culture" or whatever. Go to him about it! Keep trading! Boost the American economy, help me recover so I can go back to making laundry rooms and taking care of the cows without getting stepped on and other heroic stuff!

[ He pauses his excited rambling to sneeze. By the way, his bowl cut is starting to get way shaggy. This is important. (No. Not really.) ]

By the way, Denmark, if you want another cow, you gotta be here to gimme my beer and read me my bedtime fairytale. Do you have anything about two immortal thieves? I wanna hear a story on that. Speaking of bad economic times...

[ The bright smile drops a few increments. Yes, even America can get depress. ]

Ah. Well. It gets better. I'm glad they're back home. My place was way better than here, even during the Depression. And maybe they'll be back again. Yeah...

...Canada, you need to come over too for the fairytale! Do it! Do it or I'll never import maple syrup ever again! Vermont's is better anyway.
