[ Unlike just about everyone else in Discedo, America's looking pretty excited right now. And sick. Not too bad, but he didn't make things better with self-medication, so he'll be breathing a little heavily and probably pausing for breath every once in a while. ]

Why didn't anyone tell me Thomas Knowlton showed up?! Well, okay, Japan just did, but I mean before that! It's one thing to miss running after a plane because I'm busy dying of food poisoning--seriously, I'm never eating foreign food again--but I would've grabbed a bucket and sprinted if I knew he was here! Ya hear that Thomas?! Not even smallpox would've stopped me!

[ COUGH okay he has to take a minute here to recover. ]

Or... or the flu. Whatever. I hate colds. Hardly ever get 'em back home, which is good, 'cause even when it's not the economy, human meds don't do jack for me, last like, ten minutes... ah.

Yeah! So you guys know how I'm all awesome at espionage and stuff? You have Knowlton to thank for starting that.

[ America sighs wistfully, staring off into space with a stupid grin on his face. ]

He's one of those types that wouldn't order men into battle; he'd lead. Always in step right along beside me. That was only in battle though; he was even better undercover! Got a good amount of dirt on England with his help. Even at the end, he didn't falter.

[ His eyes snap back into focus and the guys looks even more elated, if possible. He's practically wiggling in his seat from sheer excitement. He's like a dog who wiggles half of its body when it's wagging its tail. ]

Been 193 years since I've seen him! I lost a lot of good men in the Revolutionary War, yeah, but now I'll actually get to see one again! I never thought I would! Hope more of my people of the past show up. More importantly, I gotta show Thomas a good time. I can't let him think his country isn't gonna go out for a drink with him after he died for me. It's the least I can do to honor his contribution to my Intelligence and independence.

I'll... [ Another long pause to breathe. America shakes his head. ] Deal with the washers and... everything else when I'm not welcoming a patriot when my head feels like it's full of cotton and my stomach's doing cartwheels.

[ SNIFFLE WHEEZE and yet he still has the power to grab Japan's wrists and drag him towards the bedroom. His movements are slow and sluggish but he manages.

And once they're inside, America promptly kicks his jeans off (hey, it's comfier to sleep in underwear, okay?), flops on the bed, and gropes for his bottle of magic pills. By magic pills, I of course mean morphine. ]

If you want PJs or anything, I've got some spares in the drawer.

[ Considering America's laundry is everywhere in the room except the drawers, it might be a challenge. ]

[uff being pulled. Once he's there, he sort of stares around with a frown. AVERTING HIS EYES FROM SIGHHHH THE UNDERWEAR.]

Surely your clothes would be too large.

England's should fit. Those cotton-y bottoms over there are his. The one with the unicorn on the hip.

[ pointing across the room while simultaneously fumbling for a pill or two. ]

[And he glances over, briefly wonders why they're there, and then moves to inspect them. ARE THEY CLEAN.]

[ I WOULD ASSUME SO America mainly stole them for Namine to wear so he hasn't touched them beyond the stealing process. Andddd now dry popping his pills like House.

It's going to suppress his breathing and make it uncomfortable but hey at least he won't give a fuck. ]

[...gosh you druggie. OKAY going to step out to change..

and return in lovely pajamas. He left his clothes folded neatly somewhere. sob.]

[ The sad part is this is nowhere near enough to get him out of it. Only enough to give him a vague sense of apathy.

America, sans glasses and quick sleepy-sick looking, is squinting to try and see Japan's face. He fails. Near-sightedness sucks.

BUT LOOK, ISN'T HE ADORABLE? LIKE A BIG OL' GOLDEN RETRIEVER THAT'S JUST COME BACK FROM THE VET AND IS STILL DOPED UP A BIT. ]

[...He is adorable. Which is probably the driving reason why Japan is agreeing to move over to the bed and sit down on it, at least.]

Ah. I hope you feel better, America-san.

[ Promptly TUGGING JAPAN DOWN AND USING HIM LIKE A TEDDY BEAR. It could be worse. America and Canada pretty much end up breathing in each other's mouths. ]

[ It's okay, Japan. It's not you. It's the drugs. BUT YOU CAN PRETEND IT'S YOU IF YOU LIKE. idc if morphine pills don't work that fast WHATEVER MAN. ]

[He blushes and reaches to grab the arm that tugged him-- but he decided against pulling it away. S-still..]

...I am glad to hear it.

[ He's snuggly, but it's only an arm over the shoulder, and he leaves a (relatively) comfortable distance between them. ]

[ That's all the coherence he can manage. He's about to go into a sleepy/sick/sugar coma. ]

[Japan is extremely embarrassed. He's.. uncomfortable? But comfortable. It's a strange sort of balance, there. Anyway, he just leaves it at that and lets America rest.

He'll probably fall asleep.. at some point...]

[ SLEEP BUDDIESSSSSS.

Unfortunately, America is sick and is obviously having trouble breathing, so he'll be breathing quite loud while he sleeps. And drooling. ]

[That is both terrifying and adorable.

Japan will have a rough time falling asleep but THAT'S OKAY.]
